No, am looking to put some money together to get it on the rollers for a little tweak. The fuel seems spot on, just could do with the ignition map perfecting safely on the dyno and get the tuner's thoughts on the cam timing to get as much midrange out of it as possible.
I am quietly thinking about hi comps, catcam springs and some catcam 734 cams as it seems to be a good jump from Piper BP285's - I'm dead happy with suspension and brakes now, am looking to strip it out over the summer and maybe look for some more bhp. I don't want to take away from the driveability though.

as might be cool to go around with you, two predator on the track lol
C2 cam covers are nice, i got mine for 40 quid tho i also got the coil pack cover but it keeps rubbing on the bonnet

Yeh, the c2 covers are sweet and at a sweet price! I'm booked on Session I with S88TG - if sax-p have some track time I might get in on this too - whilst I'm there may as well get as much time on the track as possible, especially seeing as it's the Grand Prix circuit!
I didn't get the coil cover, I don't think I will tbh - is fine without it.

Yes, they are a straight swap - the c2 cover fits on mk2's but as above ^ ^ rubs on mk1's.

734's will give you another 15 - 20 bhp I would have thought.

I sort of wish I'd have gone the hole hog originally as wouldn't have cost too much more for hi comps and springs (as would have bought cams and followers) anyway - will see what it makes/how the power curve looks on the dyno!
Am looking to strip it out when I go back to Uni as I won't need to do much driving so hardcore is fine!

easy tiger! I'm just looking to hone it down a little into more of a focused car!
At the moment it's having a bit of an identity crisis!!
TB'd VTS engine . . . . . with a 1.4 Westie gearbox!
4 pots on the front & group n shocks . . . . . . with a full interior and sub in boot!!
Hopefully got my eye on some bucket seats, and will look to relocate the battery to the boot, and strip it out.
Once it's stripped, s2 box on, and a tweak on the dyno it should be almost done (unless I end up going for hi comps & 734's - maybe xmas time)

I think Dyno time is looking likely to be August - I'll be back in Bournemouth then and will know how I sit with money (moving out of a flat so get deposit back etc.)
I was tempted with a getting a second engine to strip down, rebuild and then put the bits from my engine on it. Gave up on this when I totted up the cost.
Thinking that my next car will be a cupra r next year, should be able to keep this car financially so can hone it into a hardcore little car !

Someone called bighardsaxoman posted crap about Saxo's, soon got deleted though! Thanks Alex.
Lol, I'll try and get a video tomorrow afternoon, got a packed morning but on the road in the afternoon - you'll get to see the error of leaving the 1.4 box on!
You going to Trax? Would love to see how quick yours is, I can imagine it's quicker than mine, you must just rip through the gears with your box, s1?
