How much does the diff add for fast road driving, with a bit of track action?
Am looking for a diff to add to the driving enjoyment - plus I can imagine it'll help things when trying to put the power down from bodies?

lol, in the past have used forge for silicon hosing for an induction kits/aluminium tubing that'd I've made up for people in the past so put it on there.
No really been bothered to take it off - suppose Forge is more for turbo parts, hrrmmmmmmmm, I'm sure will come off in the future!

most people relate forge to dump valves and intercoolers lol..
definately get a lsd mate after youve spent so much on it. it will improve things more than most of your mods.

Yeh, I think I will do, just depends on cash flow really.
Also, am tempted to fit it myself, just send the crown wheel off to quaife to be fitted onto the diff. Might buy a duff box to take apart and see how it goes together, only one way to learn . . . . . .

I wouldnt have an ATB diff if you dont intend on doing alot of time on track.
on a country road for instance it will throw you about if you dont hold on to the wheel properly.

That's the thing - ultimately (at the moment) this car is a road car. So don't really want to compromise it too much (saying that with the thought of screaming bodies on the motorway!) If i was to track it right now, it'd spend maybe 10% time on track, 90% of time on the road.
Maybe something to consider in the future.
Thank for the advice!

the diff is great but you do need to know how to drive a car with one else you will have more problems than benifits imo

From memory wasn't that one of the complaints about the old Focus RS? That the diff was a bit too 'much' on country roads, but great on the track.

Just won some 19mm torsion bars on ebay cheap, was looking to replace my 17ishmm ones for standard 19mm ones, is a cheap mod and should make it a bit less under-steer'y especially when the 24mm ARB is fitted

UPDATE - 6/2/2009
Piper Stainless backbox just ordered - gone for the oval tip, should fill the bumper recess nicely!
And have ordered an external billet fuel pressure regulator holder, for the standard Citroen FPR's - this should allow me to alter the fpr in the future if need be!
In terms of standalone managent - am torn between Emerald (love the software, and getting it mapped up is cheap) plus I love the challenge of creating a wiring loom for it, so is something that'd keep me busy ! IF i went for this would maybe look at setting up a group buy of them, might be able to get them cheaper
OR the Datashift PnP ECU - Andy is local to me and the ECU is cheaper and won't need to alter the engine loom a lot to get it working, just the throttle pot.
what do people reckon to go for ??

lol, just buying things for the Saxo when group buys are going on etc.
Like the throttle bodies were part of a group buy 30% off! And am working on a placement year at Uni, so am just plowing my earnings into parts for a fun summer!
We should have a massive bournemouth meet in the summer, mayeb a bbq somewhere in the New Forest. Go for a good drive, some pics of the cars and food. . .

UPDATE!
Have ordered an LC-1 wideband - didn't go for a guage as didn't think it would be worth it.
Also, have decided on going for the Predator PnP ECU - is good value, Andy is local to me, and uses megatune so there's plenty of help out there is need be. Have been in contact with Andy and he's excited about mapping it so should get some good results and a real driveable car !!!
Provisional fitting and mapping date is early April!!! Will get some pictures up next weekend of the bodies + all the gear I've bought to go on !!!
Just need a good week with the car to fit the bushes, torsion bars, ARB etc.!
