I'm not a mechanic full time but do work on the side - you want some bits done? You close to Loughborough? Give me a pm and we can sort something ?
Took around a week to do the engine transplant by myself cleaning, servicing the engine etc. before it went in and then getting it in itself. Can do other peoples conversion if they have a crane available

they are universal so I'll need to wire them into my car.
Im planning on making up my own engine loom and car loom with these integrated, the wiring slimed down and tidied up and wrapped nice, is a job for Easter/Summer but will be worth it when it's all done.

Yea finally decided to go through with it! It won't be anything special though!
Looking forward to driving it again!
Did you ever have yours RR?
Everything just seems spot on with your car! No corners cut!

Anything around 170bhp in a tin can is special !!!
I havn't had mine rr'd yet - been haunted by a bit of wiring i did for the CPS when i first initially did the conversion - basically means I have around a 6k limit regardless of what's set on the Ecu.
As a result of this I'm going to make up an engine loom and car loom to match the Spa dash and Predator Ecu.
I'm torn between going for some headwork on a jp4 head, or going for 734 cams, springs and retainers. Both will be expensive.
At the mo it's looking like i'll stick to my Piper Cams for now in a j4 head, and then look at getting the jp4 head I've got built up with headwork, 734's etc. and then plonk it on a rebuilt j4 bottom end with the forgies I've got - then I'm in no rush to build it up.
The noise of TB's is unreal !!!

Yea i'm hoping for 170bhp+
You don't seem phased by much! I don't mind getting stuck in, but wiring and stuff baffles me! My mate is coming to redo all my loom and stuff for me!
All plans sound cracking mate! Look forward to watching it progress tbh, not sure how it slipped under my radar!
I know all about the cost of headwork! Mines coming back with a £600 bill lol

Yeh headwork seems to be expensive but well worth it if done right !!
Just get a few wiring diagrams out, and away you go really !! Not too bad I can imagine tbh ! I think with the wiring it's going ot be better to spend a bit more and get some labels made up for each part etc.
Just need a daily car now so can take this off the road for a bit or treatment and fitting of a lot of parts !!

there is some good gains to be had with good headwork tbh - just got to find a reputable place to do it!
I think Jackman is onto a winner getting Sandy to do it!!
If I get the balls to get some headwork done on a jp4 head I'll ask Sandy or QEP to do it.

Good luck to you mate! Hope it all works out !
Daily driver was the best thing i bought!
PS to the above, Sandy is the man!

Thanks !!
I primarily bought it for its functions, the dash was cheaper than me buying seperate gauges for the info it give me - but it should look nice also.
Cars currently without injectors as one was leaking causing it to run like a dog on one cylinder (black plug) so I got some injectors off Andy_K and getting them refurbed so will be good as new and get the car back on the road.

i am looking about around 165ish on my spec maybe abit closer to the 170, but i want my torque you though i was that around 130ish maybe more.
love the plans cant wait to see this round a track!
also i agree with the bodies noise it mental i love it, but always want to press the loud pedel, which isnt good!

Yeh, I just don't want to chase a figure. At the end of the day it'll never have the 'push you into your seat' as a nice turbo car so I'm just trying to decide where to go with it if anywhere at all. It's enjoyable to drive at the moment so not sure whether wilder cams etc will take away from that - I'm half tempted to stick with my cams in a jp4head and forgies.
It's just the 734s and bits needed to go with them is around £800. Whereas I could put that into a cage and some r888s and a trackday.
Time will tell I think. I just don't want to get sucked into constantly going wilder, more ££££ for a spec that will take away from it's driveability - aslong as fit forgies then can sort out cams in future.
Sorry it's a bit of a ramble!!

Very nice seats mate. You'll have to tell me how they are on the road as they are one of the models I keep looking at. Just I'm never sure about visibility on the road with the head restraints
