Sounds like it'll be best to just spend a bit longer saving and opt for the be4r box, quaife diff for it, and then the atspeed kit.
Although the gripper does seem to get better reviews from atspeed..............

i agree, ive wanted a decent boosted car for ages having diven alot in the past, agree with danny on ppl not being able to pass comment without driving a boosted car, ive driven bodied and turbo'd but yet to drive a s/charged car yet(been passenger in a few), not sure id be "satisfied" with the power distribution of a s/c car although id love to have one?, i prefer the surge you get from a turbo fully spooled. whatever you chise im sure itl be awesome, sounds like your doing plenty research and you dont do things by halves either. told you id get you boosted

lol, you wore me down !!!
I do like the 'feel' of a turbo as you get a chunk of torque when it comes on boost - might need to try and blag a couple of rides in cars at FCS/Trax

I suppose next spring would be a realistic time to have it all done by.
I'll have the money to buy a lot of bits in September - so will be early 2011 I think before it's all together and running!
The car was going to come off the road in the summer anyway to put the hi comp pistons in, jp4 head on with wilder cams. So it'll still be happening but just going low comp ready for some boost !

it's quite a wise move and just another mint addition to your saxo man.
it'll be a very fast car no doubt about it.

Thanks, I hope so !!
Is going to be very hard letting the TB's go tbh. !!! With ph4's and hi comp pistons I bet it's almost the perfect NA setup, I just have to cure that itch

Are you keeping the engine as it is for this summer then? and then ripping it all apart after the summer?

Cars going back onto standard inlet in March to free up some cash, so the following parts will be for sale to free up some cash:
Full TB setup
S1 gearbox
LHD wiper setup (new scuttle panel)
Quaife MA Diff (new)
The engine will be coming apart mid summer, around start of July - hopefully I'll get the parts to rebuild it before, so shouldn't take too long too build up.
Got to get a bit of work done on the head as it's got a 'dent' in the face of it. So will get it welded up then skimmed flat. Then just a matter of building it back up with the Piper 285 cams, new seals etc.
Want to get a baffled sump in there too.
I'll fit the engine in the car with a random gearbox I've got, then look to get a be4r box and get that in there with parts from atspeed.
Then just a matter of saving up for the charger, pipes etc. and then mapping. I'm planning on putting the Spa dash in at the same time so it'll start off with zero mileage to match the engine.
Looking forward to summer tbh !!!

Sounds good to me, I'm 99.9% selling NA parts and going boost - I'll give you a pm when I'm back in Bournemouth end of March - if you don't want it then it's cool.
*eagerly awaits an update to you progress thread*
I'd love to go further with NA, but I just keep seeing these boost threads and the fact that no-one has really 'pushed' it with the rotrex units, just makes me jump the NA ship
