NOW then, a little update, had a pretty crappy time with the build, as i put the head on,
and old belt and bolts, didnt even torque head, and could see the valves were hitting pistons,
head off measured, its been skimmed to mant times, new valves or not this is my head ache.
so old head back out, and stripped down(been sat for over a year no way seals will be any good)

so now me old head has new seals, and all valves and springs all look healthy,
plus its only been skimmed once, 0.2 and am now running the same gasket as did when had this head so all should be about right now.
so new bolts and gasket and head on and torqued down.
also re rapped mani, all the pipes individually, think it looks so much better,
s/c bracket fitte with vtr alt bracket and alt now sorted, and lined up,
now timing the engine up, (BALL ACHE)
now i locked the cams in, and the crank, then fitted belt, couldnt get the exhaust mark to line up where it should, always a tooth out.
and this was where the cams would sit when all pins out, pain, gt a little stressed and managed to brake part of the timing whole, (WOOPS)
ANYWAYS after a couple hours playing, swearing coffee beer, food, toilet brakes, i loosened adjusted and tweeked, and finally everything lined up, cams are locked in crank locked in and belt at correct tension,
so engine back to standard timing. (its a start)
now will clean engine up as the head is tatty, nand awaiting c2 covers, then can start on other things.
its never easy with this car lol,

spent today just basically cleaning everything up and making things tidy with the engine, double checking everything,
all seems ok now, so a few pics of my handy work.

all timed up and cleaned
the fidanza finaly fitted (its been a while)
and one final pic, car meets engine for first time in a while,
next plans are, fit sump baffle and sump,
order c2 covers and fit
order bigger injectors and fit
then concentrate on the bay itself
