I jinxed myself.

Shed a tear for the first time in years sitting in my car after it happened.

I don't get how a Cambelt that has been on the car for 8k, 10 months has snapped already? Its not been put under any strain. It ain't been ragged. Get to miss out on 'Fast Show' on Sunday now. Need to get the pictures up of the damage tomorrow, tasty.

It's a big misconception, Cambelts aren't affected by whether or not the car has been driven hard, abused or ragged.

Sorry to hear.
I've got a J4 Head here mate very cheap with good valves etc, even got a bottom end too cheap.

PM me if you change your mind.

Cut your losses mate - car has been a complete nail. If you'd put the money into a decent example the outcome would've been different.

Borrowed parts...

Anyway, you wouldn't let me have most of it. Even after I 'improved' the wiring loom...

You came.. You saw.. You picked off the anything including wing mirror caps, fans covers, door wires.. and you put only 2 of them back.. Then you proceeded to break into the car after I locked it Mike!

Nearer to the time Nino gets his car out the bodyshop I will lol

Just the brakes that I do not want to fuck up pal lol.. GTI interior sold last night, one of my exhausts are going tonight, got a lot of people interested in the Brakes, the shell and dead engine are receiving quite a bit of interest, best offer so far is £300 for it, includes bumpers etc though. Even the steering wheel is getting bidded for, so many bids I can't remember who wants it lol

Yes I do pal, Lower Centre console has a bit chopped out of it though, only a tiny bit where someone previously fitted a gearstick lock, doubt you would want that tbh. & Gearstick gaitor, yep got that and its in good condition, make me a offer pal
