Wanker.. Just admit my car is mint engine wise and driving wise..
and Yes Mike, my car can move.
Just to let a few of you guys know, the mechanics I took it to before when THIS happened..
Well it kind of happened again, when replacing the clutch and box, they left a engine mount loose and didn't put my wheel back on correctly, leaving me with a wobbling wheel and a hell of a shake in the engine bay, last thing I needed driving through Luton now isn't it. Cunts.

OZ's are going back on Lea Ready to find some 15" alloys now, tough decision which ones to get though
These TD's have been a nightmare trying to drive on today, I love the loweredness too much
& Thanks, finally got a car which hasn't decided it don't want to work after a week or two

Bit of a productive day..
Started with this, gap between Alloy and edge of the arch was this;
Imagine what it felt like going over the smallest of bumps. Bad times.
So I got my expert precision tools out..
and smashed this little ridge until it looked nice and pretty..
and this is what came off my tyre and has been stuck in my arch, yes that is tyre tread,,

So my racing slicks (AKA Bald edged T1r's) went on.
Oo and a lovely hole. Rather good infact, cold air feed towards the brakes.
Now with UltraL's back on all around.
Now some whoreish photo's, got some on a DSLR coming tomorrow..
Camera Battery dead, roll on the DSLR photo's..
To Be Continued..
Comments and criticism always welcome

Cheers Alex..
I hate the 16's, and I hate the price of 2 new 40 Profile tyres
The passenger side arch liner was perfect, now its mullered The drivers side accidently 'fell out' a while back, passenger side might have to do the same..

Its been a while since I updated this, couldn't upload pictures to Sax-P for some weird reason. Oh well.
Right, everyone who has met me knows I take short cuts where I can, and today is no exception, prepare to LOL.
The Good..
Its booked in for its Full Respray, goes in on Monday 15th August. Sweeet. Hai New Colour. So I attacked it with some noob bodywork Flattening the bonnet and Primering it up to try my hand at getting the Tip-Ex that the previous owner of the bonnet used
Need to sort out a few more bits, like a noob error of the previous owner of the car done;
Oh yeah, and I got this Boot Build off Richie, once again, another buy of mine is wankable, well to myself anyway.
Ze Bad.
Well, I was going to Hammerite the arches to protect them from Rust this weekend, turns out I was a LITTLE too late. ****. Started sweet..
& Then.. BOOOOOOOM. I detest this prick.
Poking with a screwdriver.. Meh.
Well, what would you do? Send it to a professional Welder? Yes that's what you would have done, but I'm not like the rest of you, I had Mikol on my shoulder, Grind the prick. Wire Brush the Shit. Treat the patch. Fiberglass. Filler. Spray It. Sand It. Hammerite It. & yes it works. Just a temporary job till Mr. Big Dick Welder comes out.
Grinder was a pussy.
Yes that is 1 Tub of filler. Yes. Be shocked.
Hammerite Time. Yes, Its sweet, and yes, the rear arches are sealed and treated, So won't rust or break for the next 5 years-ish
One slight problem. This was the drivers side, although the passenger side is nowhere near as bad, it still has 1 or 2 small 3cmx3cm spots, which will get the same treatment for the meanwhile. Oh well, least I didn't have a hissy and break the car for spares over a small problem that was rather fun to fix

Less time than cutting it out, buying a welder, learning how to weld, welding badly, repairing bust weld, welding a second time, setting the sound deadening on fire, realising the second weld is no better than the first, giving up and going home.
With the filler out it was about 2 hours to end product.
Fact of the matter is the panel is stronger than it was when we started, is now watertight instead of leaking and sure as hell won't rust again. For a job done on the roadside and one we didn't even know we'd have to do when we started, I'd say that's a pretty good result.

As Mike kind of said, being armed with absolutely nothing and needing a quick solution, this method was the quickest. I know how to weld, but I wouldn't personally weld the shell of a 106, its thin as hell, and for a noob like me who has done it once before on a thick bit of metal and nearly balls it up, this would have been terminal

Tbf, that Disc on the grinder was shit. I was just waiting for the petrol neck just to catch fire.

Yep, but for a group of noobs, I would have welded the rear beam to the engine by accident, I take short cuts, but they work haha

If welding was easy then my old car would have been seam welded and caged up in no time...i wouldn't say it was easy. Easy is like trying to pull on an over 25's night or taking a dump, or filling your tyres with air Welding...not so much.
