That GTI is fucking beautiful.. In fact, I think you've turned me.. I always preferred Saxo's over 106's in every circumstance but I might have to buy one these as my next car.

Thank you Didn't realise it looked that nice, quite a big compliment
I hated 106's, but try one, you will love it alot more than a Saxo, just something about it, kind of rarer than a Saxo IMO

I know what you mean pal, looks a bit dated, but for some reason there seems to be more leg room around the knee area, something which I didn't have in the Saxo, I don't want to seem like I am ripping the Saxo in any way, I loved mine to bits and would happily have it back for double the price I sold it for

Had some bad news today ladies and gents. Took the car to Lee (LEE_VTR1) to be raised at the rear, took the wheels off and the anti roll bar fell out. Nearside trailing arm is also quite a problem. Basically, my rear beam is fucked, and has been for quite a while now, hmm.
I would like to say thanks to Lee for being honest with me about it, some people would have tried to hide this problem but he was up front with me and told me about the problem and the best way to go about getting it fixed. Just goes to show how good the Nuneaton guys are, always honest about the work they carry out and would not work on a car that is f***ed.
Progress has taken a step back, maybe by a month or two while I raid my last bank account funds that I have been saving for TB's

Yeah it will be getting fixed in a few days/weeks time, but if one more thing goes wrong with the GTi its getting sold lol I don't want another repeat of my VTR with it costing over £3k in repairs lol

Some people on here have no problems at all with there 106/Saxos lol, rare to find though, just thinking now is it worth keeping the GTI if I can get a car thats lower on insurance and more of a sensible daily drive Golf GT Tdi was what I was looking at before but then I didn't go to Uni and thought why would I want a diesel lol

Seriously Never Buy French..
Completely fucked off tonight, Exhaust has blown in 2 places, Mani Gasket (Nothing to do with the Mani itself, but has made me want to replace it) and Centre Section. Along with a knackered rear beam, its a case of where the hell do I start?! I will have no car to drive if this gets any worse, even the Landrover seems like its giving up on me
On a brighter note, I Hammerite'd the underside of the car for the winter months, got to look after these cars to protect them from rust, many drivers of 106/Saxo's forget this and it ends up rusting away.
On Monday, me and a few friends are going to work on this car all day. Starting with the engine, we will Re-Wire parts of it due to.. well.. lets just say the wiring loom looks a homemade shit job. Cam Covers are flying off, brand new set going on. Sort out the engine bay leaks, taking the piss how much oil is pissing out. Wondering if the H/G is on its way out?
