Thanks for the comment bud, i'm kind of glad I kept faith in it as well, it ain't had a problem in months apart from running rough so I might as well run it into the ground again

Regards to pulleys, maybe some black kam racing ones? Pred and bodies sound good Dom, along with a rebuilt j4 head and cams, will see some nice power.
Stick with it mate

I do try to keep it clean-ish. Do Kam Racing sell their own pulleys? I thought they only did 8v ones and supplied the Catcam pulleys?
Hoping to actually have the project done and dusted sometime this year

I'm back..
Yes, after 3 months of nothing..
The story of this update though is just buying, this picture tells the story;
Me, KarlB and Mikol went on a road trip, Bedford, via Leamington and then to Southampton. Long yes. We went to buy some bits of Basley, what an epic road trip! M40 is now known as the Autobahn.
I bought the Raceland 4-2-1 Manifold and a 2" Pugsport. Fitting it this Sunday, with the MOT on Saturday. It will pass the MOT anyway, but I really cannot be fucked fitting it on Saturday. Pics here;
Surprised how much we fit in the little 106 while trying to avoid damaging the seats, a Full Exhaust system, a Gearbox and Rear Beam mainly. Along with 3 of us this didn't stop the fun of the roadtrip
Anyway, got to pop out in a bit so I will cut this short.
Comments and Criticism welcome as always
Dom

Haha, but you didn't have to put up with 2 other faggots in the car surely? lol.. Yet again, Mikol did basically drive on the way back.

Well, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. And with nowhere else left to go, let it sn- Oh wait let's work on the Pug
Yeah, we are hardcore. Today was "let's sling on the Pugsport and Raceland manifold" day and not even the wintry sky could change that. Despite the artic forming around us outside, inside the garage was actually pretty toastie.
USB Motorsport was once again called into service
Bye-bye old Piper zaust
Oh hai new raceland...
And Pugsport complete with snow-filled tailpipe for bareman horsepowaaa
Oh, and Dom acquired a new bonnet decal to take back to Bedford.
That will be all. Dom is currently recovering from the exhaust manifold and 13mm spanner I managed to drop on his ribs and face respectively. He's probably bleeding internally.

Yep, seems so, come from Basley, he said he didn't have it long. Cheers Tom, now you've seen one pic, want more?

Would have been rude not to sling the Pugsport on
Was it still Silver when you last saw it? I'm pretty surprised I've got this far on such a little budget myself tbh.

love this 106, got my 106 a month ago after a ermm... little? crash in my astra which i stupidly sold my old saxo for, so thought meh, its cheap i'll have it.. even though its the 1.1 its pretty damn reliable... touch wood.. Always thought for some silly reason that 106's were the worse of the two against the saxo, but the 106 has given me much less problems than my old saxo 1.1 did each and every single month lol, so pleasantly suprised

The End Is Nigh..
Well, I can't sleep..
So here it is. The end.
Quite upset about how this project has ended.
I took a standard Silver GTi, from this;
and transformed it into this;
A Low Milage JP4 Lump, many ups and downs, and great laughs along the way. Now its over, after 2 accidents in 3 days. Well and truly am gutted, I can't even put it into words.
Thanks to all of you that helped me build this car, I really am greatful.
Fin.
