Stripped..
Nearer to the end of this blog..

As we know, it is being stripped for parts, 11 months on from the White GTi. Tonight came the start of the stripping, I dosed myself up on Diazepam, Karl popped over and took the interior, then Adam come over and completely butchered the car. Talk about taking no shit. I only wanted the seats out? Ended up almost the shell lol

So as the end of this blog is looming, thought I might as well post these latest pics up of how its going. Its a sad ending, but I made amazing progress on such a low budget in the 11 months. I will quote myself when I got the car, "Lets see how far I get in a year".. Well, here it is, I made a car to be proud of. Taken away from me in seconds by a dumb bitch.

Will update again on Saturday when the stripping is fully done.

Thanks

Haha cheers mate, enjoy the Carling!

Its annoying me with it being there now, 11 months, stupid amounts of hours and work put into it, and its ended up like it has. End of the day the only plus side is its only metal. The once minter, is now no more. Wish I had sold it after Trax. Its worth so little in parts, but together it was priceless.

No tears were shed Might ring a pikey tomorrow to take the fucker away.

Aha don't worry I will.

Look on the bright side, I found plenty of rust when stripping the rear earlier, so it wasn't COMPLETELY mint after all

Window seal edges also get it after years of rot .

Ill stick them up when I'm home from work, providing I don't fall asleep at the wheel and crash on the way back from work..

Default The Bedford Saxo & 106 meet. Final day of stripping

So the stripping's done.
Day1-intentions were to get the seats, exhaust and wheels of iirc.
This is the result.

Day 2-I didn't come on the 2nd day, but from what i know Dom and Adam managed to literally 'drop' the engine out and strip some more interior.

Day 3 (the final day)-Sooo we got to work about 1pm on Saturday, with half the car left to strip other than the engine and seats.

First thing to come off was the rear beam with the brakes, after much fucking around with brake lines, we decided to cut then cunts off and drop it there and then.

We stripped out the rest of the interior and then waited for people to start arriving for their parts.
Most of the day was spent standing around talking after people started to turn up, and we eventually got out own little meet going on with 7 saxos and 106s
So after people left we finished ripping out the last little bits of the interior like the seatbelts and rear cards etc.

Then after much sucking and moaning (giggidy) we gave up on trying to syphon the fuel after Dom and Danny-vts felt high off their faces and now have the taste of petrol stuck in their mouths for the next few days.
So after 3 days the car's finished. It started off as the full car and after 3 long days it was left as this

RIP Sundance Yellow GTi (even though you were still half silver)

I gave up on trying to get the fuel out of an old saxo after swallowing a load....

but then had a (risky) brain wave. Just wire the battery straight up to the fuel pump and then stick a container under the fuel pipe in the engine bay. or connect a different pipe onto the fuel pump and straight into your container.

Worth doing if you still have a car battery spare.

Thought about doing this, but then I have the ball ache of re-installing the Fuel Pump that was ripped out, I need to think before doing things

I give up, getting the shell removed in half hour. Cba with it sitting there looking all sad at me

you done well mate, i know how it feels to get somewhere on a car and for it all to be snatched away from you..

My Astra SXi was the same, got it all how i wanted it and was just waiting for a decent weather'd day to fit the brand new coilovers i got for it for christmas and some wheels as i couldn't decide what to get... Little did i know that the passenger side rear wheel (not tyre ) was gonna give way on the dual carriage way at about 65mph as i was changing lane, sending me into 3 total 360 degree spins, hurtling me into the central reservation, ripping the front bumper clean off, the already destroyed alloy, snapping the stub axel and taking the drum brake with it, tipped up and went straight across the other side of the dually and into a ditch boot-first into a tree was devastated to see my car like that, but luckily me and my friend are still here.. Wasn't the nicest thing scrapping the car on the day i planned to lower it :| Turns out that my alloy had a crack on the inside and it could have given way at any point.. Luckily the police saw the marks in the road where the alloy hit the tarmac and the marks where it span and knew i wasn't speeding, Breathalyzed me, told me to go A&E to be on the safe side and dispose of the car and move on, i was just glad i was still alive tbh, it all just gives me an excuse to get a VTR/S, which is what im saving for while driving my 1.1 106 Independence lol, every cloud and all that i suppose...

Chin up mate, hope you're okay
