cheers m8.
im not running an icv, as im running the at power tb with c2 inlet.
so needed to set the tb open at 3% for it to get air to idle, just tightened the screw down till the gauge said 3%.
andy spent a bit of time setting up the ecu as everything is new,(bigger injectors, charger)
i used 3mm vacum hose taken from one of the outlet clips on the inlet. you can take from the one the hose going to drivers wing goes to if i recolect??
it took abit of time for the engine to finally burst into live, everything is new and never been run before, but its idling nice and smooth now, just got a couple little leaks to sort out, and my fan doesnt kick in,
altho the sensor i have in the rad is a 2 pin(non aircon) but the last one i had was 3 pin so that maybe the case.

ok i let it run, till everything was upto temperature, and the fan finally kicked in at 99 deg,
which is normal for these i think.
but i think for satisfaction i will be fitting a back up switch so i can turn fan on when sat in traffic.

the wiring for it wasnt part of the engine loom no, it is in the loom that goes through the wing, altho it does connect to engine loom via the round plug, if you arent messing with the wiring you just need to tap into the signal cable from the sensor plug on the rad sensor,
does ur sax use the rad sensor???

mk2 vts has no sensor in rad either m8, i think if i remember rightly it takes its signal from one of the sensors in the thermostat housing.

ai thats the one mate may try find a gauge and swith kit and run a feed from that very sensor, may be the most sensible option... if anyone reading knows where i can get a kit like this from please pm me
edit- just found a kit on flee bay from america, adjustable thermostat too, may be worth a punt
