Sorry to hijack this but how much do you reckon you could buy a half decent compressor and air gun for. Would be interested in doing this on a few parts on my car.

Well I hit 137 in this the other day! Crazy for a 1.9D.
Shame it was 137,000 miles though.
Few things have changed
And it's been tucked up for the next 2 weeks as I'm away. Tight squeeze, maybe an inch tops either side of the mirrors
Think it looks mean enough for now!

Cheers man, I've said it before & say it again. I was never a massive fan of the orange & black and hated the van. I prefer it now by 1000% but I'm on the look out for a Lexus IS200 or E36 saloon I think you like it more than me

EDIT - On a side note, I've not been running a front plate for best part of 7 months now with 0 police trouble and that is on Manx registration too...

This is still going. Reliable as anything. Bristol -> London & back on like 30 quid. Bristol -> IOM on £35/40. Not bad for a big 18YO van IMO.
Fitted my pressed front plate today, like it used to be, offset on the bottom of the bumper, but I've used bolts so it won't fall off.

Fake number plate lows. And I finally used a proper disk sander on the front bumper, so it's genuinely smooth!

eww I tried a couple of these before (and same brands paint), wasn't great to say the least. It's ok-ish but don't expect a great finish out of it

Yeah it does, and to be honest I wouldn't worry about the paint job for now, just drive on it until winters gone and spend your effort on the engine or other niggles you may have

If a newbie came along and said they were going to paint their can/van with rattle cans they'd get abused for it. How is this any different? It's not even car paint is it?

Its a old tatty van (forgive me jay) and as jay said better then the orange/orig paint, makes no difference. Its when people come in with say tidy cars and they decide to add a random daft colour and ruin it. It looks much better then say page 1.
My view anyway. Disagree if you wish..

This. Even though it's not a tatty old van....
It wasn't a show stopper, and never will be. It looks better than it did, it's just to cain miles with a load of gear in the back. Does exactly that, so body isn't really what I care about!
