For some reason that was frowned upon, answers on a postcard.
I sh*t you not, I have found a better solution to that one about putting something metal in a water circuit... by using a plastic marker pen lid. No joke. 8mm hole through it - bobs your mother. Scientifically tested it by putting it boiling water and then microwaving it for 2 minutes.
2bhp increase as well.

Over time the hot coolant will soften down the plastic and it'll break up into pieces and start being pumped round your coolant system. Hopefully no pieces will be big enough to block anything, but I wouldn't be using anything plastic in there.
Same reason Jaguar switched to metal water pump impeller blades rather than plastic, and they were more robust than a marker pen lid lolz.

I thought I had a marketable solution. The microwave test seemed good enough to me 
Just found an old 10mm socket, that might do it.

My bypass pipe was both shit, wrong, and short, so I sawed off one of the matrix connectors that the original pipes went onto, that's bridging the pipes, and restricting.
Also, as D4MJT says, putting some coolant in the system really did help, a lot

To the right of the jubilee clips - then used the old hose clip to hold it, albeit it wont go through the joiner.

FYI... copper pipe (household) is the ideal size to join the small hoses

is this overheating thing real???i remove mine long time ago using a cooper "u" to join tubes,
for the screen i used a tube pointed diretly to the windscreen ..now ive routed the to to the new TABLIER ...ist french for dash board...
is anyone on here familiar with worcester parts ?
