Default Saxo 1.1 first - How much?

Hi guys,

I bought this little saxo for cheap recently and I'm going to get an MOT put on it at the soonest opportunity and probably sell it to fund my search for a VTR. I thought I'd see how much everyone thought the car is worth with a 12 month ticket on.

The link for the album is as follows. No issues with the car apart from 'suspension arm has slight play in offside front lower ball joint' from its last MOT which it has only done 500 miles since.

Fingers crossed it's worth a bit more than I paid so I can get a VTR!

I forgot to say it has 97k miles, full service history, 2 keys, v5 present and EXTENSIVE paperwork including original bill of sale and saxo sales booklets. So much service history it's silly.

Not a whole lot. I'd say you'd sell it for between £500 and £900.

It's only worth what someone will pay. stick it up too high, if you're not getting interest then just bring it down to a more sellable price.

If the shell is really good, I suggest converting it into a VTR. it's getting difficult to find any spec of saxo these days which doesn't have bad rust.

That's encouraging, I bought it a few weeks ago for £230, the seller wanted shut of it because they barely used it and he didn't know what it was worth. The shell is very good, it's in incredible condition for its age, the rear beam is spot on still too. I'd like to convert it, it's just that I really like the way the vtrs look and this car has no power steering or creature comforts of a higher spec car such as the vtr. It's still an option to do, it's just I'm not mechanically minded enough to carry out the work.

Thanks for the response

Looks a nice little car for someone. What is the mileage?
Great for a first car. Put some new mats in it, get that engine bay cleaned up a bit, tyre shine and you could advertise it as a 'just passed/first car' type motor.

Nice little motor that! I would 100% be buying a vtr donor and swapping it al over , if this car has no rust like you say it does its worth it mate. I'm busy doing a full back to shell restore on a vtr and the rot has been unreal. It's took the most time cutting it out and welding in fresh metal.

Seeing as you can get a fairly decent VTS for around £800 - £1000 and a decent VTR for £400 - £600 a 1.1 wouldn't generate a lot of interest unless someone wants a rust free shell (which has not been confirmed).

Seem to sell for around £100 - £250 on ebay / gumtree and facebook
