Default Weird question on Lambda sensors

Im going to need a new cat on my car for MOT Time, as my car is a MK2, it has the cat in the manifold usually, but i have got a 4-2-1 manifold on it and will be using an underfloor cat

Can the origonal lambda for a MK2 be spliced and extended just for the MOT?

OR

Will a MK1 Lambda fit the connector ontop of the engine block?

Cheers.
