If your going to use it for games get a better model then the GTS.
Extra £200 for a Ultra would make a HUGE difference.

8800 GTS is more than sufficient

It is yea. its basically DDR2 in a powered chipset, it works like a hard drive but its solid state so needs to be constantly powered. You buy the ram qty you want and install to it what you want.
So imagine buying 8 sticks of 1gb to get 8gb of space.... not cheap at all!!!
ideally for rich bitches.

I lost faith in VNC since they had to patch a exploit that let anybody connect to a VNC client without needing a password.

Running 2 150 7200 maxtors on raid 0.
Ive been running the above for around a year, cant see the reason to upgrade to 10k.
72 is fast enough for me.

2 7200rpm drives in RAID 0 is probably much quicker than a single 10,000rpm drive. Since you have potentially 14400rpm at your disposal, provided the drives have a decent seek time i'd say thats the best bet.
Although make sure your keeping backups, each drive you add to a RAID 0 configuration doubles the chance of you losing everything stored ont he drives in the event of one of them failing
