Xbox Live >(insert MASSIVE better than sign)> PSonline
If you want to play games with other people 360 is better. If you want to watch films and not have to worry about your machine randomly dying on you then get a PS3.

The PS3 is better in so many ways it has free on-line stuff, it plays blueray disc, is quieter, has built in wifi and is a bit more powerful. But the PS3 analogue stick is not that great and just gets annoying. Its always been a problem even from the original Playstation. To me a classic example of this is trying to aim on mirrors edge. On the PS3 its so frustrating it just renews so many game.
This is why I prefer the Xbox 360 because its analogue stick is so much better. It makes games a pleasures to play. You also don't have to install games like you do on the PS3. It even tend to load games faster. All in all its just a nicer system to play games on. Apparently the online play is better but never tried it.
But then even though I have them both I tend to play the wii more than the Xbox 360 and PS3 combined.
