Iphone over BB

most of my mates with blackberrys regret it as its mainly a business phone, whereas the iphone has so many uses

i'm sorry how much internal memory have you got on a HTC? 512 MB? , are their problems like sending text messages all the time? is android updating their software much? does the clock on the main screen slow it down?

...i thought so,

Blackberry ~ small screen large keyboard for e-mail, that's what their for they don't do much else, too simple aswel, ive seen black and white phones with more features.

iPhone ~ apps? yes please 32GB? software updates, more user friendly, easy to use has it all really

iPhone>High Tech Computer>Blackberry

Or if they have both

Iphone stays in my drawer, blackberry gets day to day use. The iphones major plus point is its great to pull 16 year olds, thats about it.

Seriously, i bought an Iphone because of the initial fashion craze.

As a phone its flawed, the touch screen isnt great (infact its fucking annoying). People buy the Iphones for fashion not blackberrys, all the people I deal with who have Iphones are generally the ASWs lol!

The blackberry is a much less frills phone, it does what it needs and does it well. Its much much better as a phone, the Iphone is the better media device.

Blackberrys are for business people who want to show off to other business people to think they are doing well, who also have 'pin' codes to chat to each other like on msn when your 12, doesn't do much else...

Ryan you must of owned a broken iPhone to think the touch screen is naff, as it seems to respond very well indeed

Also the screen is very small with the phone itself being quite large, actual fail.

It wasnt broken when it was bought new from a shop Nor is it broken now. I dont like touch screens, (even blackberry storm).

lol at blackberry being used to show off, erm whats the Iphone if anything but flashy and show off? along with almost everything apple. Apple are the current 'style' icons, it wasnt long ago that apple were the laughing stock and only used by geeks. Great marketing and the Ipod helped there though.

The push email feature is why many many people love them, the full qwerty keypad is another reason many people started to love them. Its not just about apps. Why do you need a large screen? Its a mobile phone, the blackberry screen is easy to read/text/email/navigate around etc.. as for size, the blackberry next to an Iphone is considerably smaller and lighter.

Like i said the iphone is the better media device but as a phone isnt actually that great.

The BB pin system is actually very useful when dealing with people internationally aswell

I really dont get why everyone is obsessed with apps and all the crap these days like being able to watch porn on their phone etc.... Its a phone its primary functions should be more functional to being that

3310 doesnt do emails very well does it

I wonder how many Iphone lovers who slate blackberrys/say everyones on a bandwagon have actually owned both and used both for a decent period of time. Its easy to slag off the competition when you havent tried it

Tried a BB just not my cup of tea.

Not jumping on the bandwagon, had one got nicked went to n95 just missed out on so many things it can do.. had to get another.

iPhone does all of that and more thats why i can't understand you justifying the BB over the iPhone apart from the use of touch screen.

Do you seriously check and repsond to your e-mail that much?

It also has the qwerty keyboard, can send e-mails

I don't exactly want an ugly looking phone, glad they made it to look good to be fair but thats just another advantage to me as of the many things it can do, i'm not an apple fanboy the phone does so much for me that's why i chose it, saves me carrying my tunes about, apps to record a lecture, powerpoints to view, computer networking utilities that you just cannot get on any other phone. Not saying the BB is a bad phone at all, just the iPhone does so much more, i don't see how they can compare....

Emails, i check all the time often ive dealt with clients and magazines who have needed quick replys, the fact I can go training or just out for the day and have that available to me is a massive need for me now, if you dont reply quickly deadlines get missed etc...

Like I said the Iphone is the better media device, but texting on it I found was awful (so emails this wasnt good). I know someone who develops alot of apps for the Iphone, the reason being developers find the software easy to use as its built as a multiedia device. Not everyone needs/cares about apps though.

The software for synching the blackberry to my pc for contacts storage, copying sms's with info etc... i also find very useful (ive backed up everything inc all texts from my old blackberry on the pc). Like I say its the way it works for me, and I much much prefer it to my Iphone, which is why its allways funny when you get the 'you wish you had an iphone, you are on a bandwagon etc...' er yeah hence why I have both

The Iphone is to big as an Ipod for me aswell anyway, to train with I dont want something that big and heavy when im in the gym or in a long running session.

Then we go onto price and the tarrifs etc... and the blackberry has worked out much better for me. Many people prefer using keypads over touchscreens and dont care about having all of the different apps and games (maybe why alot of businessmen do use them???) The iphone is the much bigger fashion icon.

Everyones entitled to a personal opinion, I just cant stand childish comments about why I prefer mine when I have both available to me if I want.

id say the bb are easier for texting/email etc since you have teh full keboard its also smaller and lighter making it better suited for day to day use
iphone has better internet and more apps avaliable however its big and heavy i had a friend at college had one for day to day and it spent more time sitting on the desk than in his pocket purly because he found it to anoying to sit with it in there..

so blackberry for every day use and i have a iphone which i basically use as a mobile pc around the house and almost like a handheld games system

edit: baker my bb came with voice note recorder xls,ppt and doc viewer so a bb can do all the things you said.

I've got a 3gs and I couldn't imagine not having it.

It does everything I ever wanted a phone to do, and I imagine the BB can't do that.

Only bad thing is that the battery life is still shocking and the Bluetooth capability is laughable, other than that it can do most things .

If iPhone supported OCS, I doubt many businesses would still use blackberry handsets.

I find my mates who have BB's are just cheapskates for the BB pin crap.

Personal opinion above.

Iphone has some really good apps, plus 4G soon with upgraded ethernet so BB's will be in the dust...enough siad
