best program to make a website with?
hi i need to try and make a website i think with my mate.
we do quite abit of motorsport photography, and have been getting quite a few requests for photos etc. ive been asked to supply pics for a aston martin magazine wich im realy chuffed with its the biggest reward ive had for my efforts.
but we need to look abit more proffesional with our pics if we are to keep getting asked etc.
dont need no super duper program or layout just want a decent place to advertise our work links to photobucket just dont cut it.
thanks

lol at Dreamweaver as a suggestion. Thats a complicated bit of software.
You sound like you need something quick, easy to upload content, stylish, possible download features.
try a mobile me account or wix.com

Dream weaver isnt complicated to make a basic professional looking website. I was using it when i was around 15, when i had little to no website knowledge!
Just need to put some effort in, watch a few tutorial videos etc.

yea dreamweaver is a great package, but dont expect a fully working website overnight that looks shit hot,
u could go on website templates and download one then edit it with dreamweaver to your needs.

Never liked visual designers, Tend to make complicated non standard mark up.
Could always be hardcore and use a program like Netbeans

Yeah but to make a decent looking website this way you need some pretty in-depth code knowledge.

I agree with this
You dont have to use any of the built in features that Dreamweaver offers, i find it good for coding as it colours different parts of the code which helps when you have a lot to look at!
HTML is easy and so is CSS if you really put your mind too it, you dont have to be technical to learn it as its very logical
