my sisters bf is into his spraying and bodywork and stuff (currently finishing off a complete rebuild of his 1970's VW camper bus ), and he had a look and said it was some of the best work he'd seen. Which is good news I guess!
not sure if I'm honest mate, you cant tell at all where it's been blended so I'm guessing he may have done the entire doors!

no idea! Leeroy put it rather well... but I can't remember what he said.
Basically I'm aiming to have the saxo how it should've come out of the factory had the frenchies not been such skanks.
Couple more updates today:
Decat pipe fitted... it pops and sounds chavvy... not cool, feels a bit quicker but nowt amazing, no idea how the mpg will be affected so it's staying for a little.
Bought a 'windscreen aerial' to replace the one that was removed, but no way in hell was I putting some dirty box on my windscreen. So I've lobbed it in between the roof and the roof lining and wired it down. Best bit is it's a powered aerial so the signal is much better than standard... and you can't see it
pow.

Good progress sayer !!! Looks very very nice.
Has the decat really made it louder? Mine didnt seem affected by it, apart from a few pops everynow on run down around 3k revs.
The backbox you may have described as cherrybomb could be mine.....if so its from AAS a highly respected Engineering company.....it did get very loud though toward the end (just scraped a db pass at croft)
Anyhow the sax is looking very very very noice

ahhh Jimo. I miss your face x x x
no the axle fitting wasn't for nothing. I did another 10k miles since the beam was fitted... just everything else on the car turded up so I sold it quick

If I ever get another saxo then I'll deaerial it straight away... deaerial ftw. standard aerial is pants, it's effectively a giant hole that soaks your interior light. James, it's a Halfords Glass Mount Aerial... although I've lobbed it in the gap between where the base of the old aerial was and the interior light console... plumbed the earthing wire to the spare map light connector dangling in the console and ran the aerial and powerfeed through the passenger side to the radio easy peasy

naaa, no point really dude!
Well just boshed out 300 miles with the decat on... <4k rpm there is now FOCK ALL torque, >4k rpm there is lots and lots.... which means the engine is more racey, which is shit But otherwise drives very well in the power zone.
Those tyres are fucking fantastic too, really complement the uprated bushes and stiffer suspension. Ive got a nice light and precise steering response, road noise is about the same as before, but over potholes you don't get that muted 'boing' sound now.
Best bit is got 280 miles to half a tank... so this is a mega result because a) when you put new shoes on your mpg is supposed to drop circa 2-8%
b) I didn't know the effects of the decat.
so I'm guessing it's a combination of decat and tyre - maybe a little less drag from the deaerial too - Guys... top tip, don't buy shit tyres, best money I've spent on the car so far.

Awesome mpg. What roads did you achieve that on? Id assume DC/MW?
RE - potholes. I just got 'thump, thump' when I twatted one the other week. Now have a tiny split in the wall on the p/s front wheel and a nice flashing airbag light I cant stop

In theory, the de-cat should push the power upwards in the rpm range a little, but I'm suprised you've noticed a big drop lower down. Hmm...
Crazy MPG, just crazy!
