Would have been surprised if it lasted a few days with 21 psi of boost to be honest, far too high for standard internals, that's equal to 1.7 bar or pressure (roughly) - recommended on standard internals is like 7 psi which is similar to .6 bar or so
Shame to see it blow up, if your selling the cituning mani/dp - and its a good price I might be interested.

yeah.
I was following a few cars going up a steep hill on partial throttle and BOOM!!! Smoke everywhere.
I think a piston has melted or cracked. Its rattling real bad, oil pouring out the exhaust, and Huge amounts of smoke.
Just down the road from my house aswell. Ahh well.. life goes on.
Was pretty epic tbf lol

Ill put a full list up in a few days with prices ect.
mani will be seperate to the DP as its not a cituning dp and goes with the rest of the exhaust.
Will let you have firts refusal

Shame it's gone like it has but if your putting that much power through it, why hit just get yet another engine, run low boost then get another and forge it?
Cheaper than a new car and more fun

Just read what's happened that's a gutter mate after getting it all done.
Be good if you kept it and got a new engine but can fully understand you must be fed up with it now I would be if mine went that way.

What was the reason to be running so much boost out of interest?

No idea why it was boosting so high.
Wastegate was set wrong so thats why it was at 21 psi,
Adjusted it properly and it was still peaking at 18.8psi but was spiking.
Not sure why it was so high was going to look into it but seems ive saved myself a job.

Could be multiple things, could be simple like; someone has cut down the actuator threading.
Or could be as simple as your wastegate is not connected properly - if your wastegate has no vaccume, it wont stop at a preset PSI - you can boost as high as you like, ive seen 28 psi on a ko3 doing this.
or Someones played with the actuater position (the small nut in the middle) - as personally I find it pretty hard to get it back to the O.E position on the actuator (bang on)

Was a new turbo.
I didnt adjust it before I set it up until last night.
Im sure it was a vacuum issue causing the overboosting.
