WIFI is free, yes. But have you may have entered the code wrong for your WIFI pass, make sure its exactly like you see it. If that doesnt work then id phone up 02

You just need to put the preshared key/passphrase in it, doubt you would need to push the button although that is an option that could have been enabled on the router.

if it is in little letters you need to be on contract to use the internet, i got a sim only contract for mine, wifi will work if you turn the network off ( manage connections and turn off 02 connecting)
then the wifi will work, if you have connected it

yeh all done that and it says the name of the wifi connection on the main page where the time and date are at the top
i meant push as in you used to have to get something pushed to your phone from o2 to get the internet working?
although i guess if ive already done that the sim should be fine,
on he o2 site it says under
Will my exisiting sim work with my blackberry?
Yes it will. You will however need to ensure that your BlackBerry device has 3G capability, you have a 3G sim and you have a BlackBerry tariff. To check if you have a 3G sim, 3G will be shown on the sim card within the product code or within the last 4 digits of the SIM number. For example - 89441100639276352943GD2
i dont have 3g, i didnt think you needed it to connect to wifi?
so confused

Manage connections is in the main menu.
What blackberry is it?
My gf's phone had problems connection to wifi, so i pulled the battery and it seemed to work.
Also for the blackberry services it will usually take a while to be activated, that if you want to use BBmessenger. (you have to change to the blackberry payasyougo option for this).

With O2 PAYG, unless you pay every month for a blackberry bolt on, you don't get WAP, MMS or BBM.
The only way to get access to the internet is to use wifi and connect to a router. You'll need to set the browser to 'Hotspot Browser' in the browser config. Most of the apps like facebook rely on you having the bolt on, so they won't work either.
