Vibra technics competition

For the time being the cars going to be a daily, would the vibra technics competition full mount set be too harsh for everyday use?

Also... wanting to price up some 26mm torsion bars if anyone knows anywhere

if that falls through ill just settle with 24/25mm

The setup on the fronts solid enough that absolute comfort is just out the window already

26mm bars will be nuts, theyre a bastard to fit and get the correct ride height with.

When it comes to the time contact IM Axles and you can get some 26mm bars through them

Those torsion bars will be ridiculous for everyday use and would require some seriously good rear dampers to cater for them

The initial plan was to go with Gaz Gold Comp. dampers, these ample you think?

23mm would be the limit on the road mate, as I said on facebook 23mm if the car will predominently be a track car or used on smooth roads. A lower lb torsion bar will be better for most of the back roads to retain contact with the road. With the bumps on the back roads 23mm bars will just bounce over the road where as 21mm bars will absorb the bumps and push the tyre retaining more grip. Well more so over 23mm bars anyway.

Cars only ever on motorways and bypasses, not many back roads round me at all, will go for the 23's then babes with Gaz Golds

23's feel good on smooth roads, not unusuable on the back roads though of course, just not the best you could get.

I would suggest you start with a 25mm rear arb if its for road use --then try it and decide on torsion bars then --alot cheaper too+ easier to fit

Im running 200lb faulkners and bilstein group n's front/rear! And on country roads it doesn't absorb any bump.And thats with standard arb and torsion!

Ive got 325lb faulkners with pugsport GrpN's :/ Doesnt really absorb anything, unless you crawl over speedbumps and potholes

Its what i expected to be honest so if the backs just as hard im not gonna be bitching at all

I would say you can go upto 23mm on roads but anything after that will be seriously hard, having used my race car on a couple of roads with 26mm torsion bars, the thing just bounces all over the place.

Back to the original question, The vibratechnics mounts will be fine for road use, I believe they do 2 different grades too, best to stick with the fast road ones and I think the race ones have a solid rear mount.

I have Vibra technics mount on my vts and 23mm t bars/24mm arb with proper grp n billie Tarmac dampers and it's fine on the road. The eng mounts do make it quite buzzy inside but it doesn't bother me...

I have 25mm t bars on my 106 but ain't driven it since fitting them, fitting does take a while...
