Diesel radiator question (Pic's included)
Just taken receipt of my new diesel radiator to address my lack of engine bay space, it has two header tank outlets but one is blocked off internally, is this usual?
Thanks.

Cheers for the reply dude.
That adds up, maybe these rads are all manufactured from same mold and the outlet's drilled out as a when required thus accommodating aircon Cit/Pugs etc...
So the next question is, with this rad only having one inlet available how does one fill it properly? Or do I have to tee into the lower main hose?
Thanks.

You should have the normal top up cap on top of the rad?

no, the diesel radiator runs an expansion tank. you will need to run this and also route it back into the engine

There is no top up cap on the diesel rad, infact there is no bleed screw or anything, simply the two main in/outs & a single 10mm outlet.

Makes sense but the header tank I have in mind has two ports (not including overflow), one which will be piped to one available outlet on rad but where does the other go?
Maybe I need to get pic's of everything so it makes more sense.
Thanks.

the one on the top of the rad is the bleed back to the header tank. the one at the botton of the header tank will go to a pipe on the back of the engine, you will have to "t" into it...

Were getting somewhere now Does it have to be the hose riiiight round the back of the engine, can it not be the main hose a the bottom? The lower hose is loads more accessible and in theory this would be piped to the bottom port on the header tank...
Thanks

it works best with the smaller tube 24mm'ish on the back. the hose closest to water pump.
