Decent second hand Kestrel DAS6 would be fine, great for beginners, Dodo Juice stuff imo is overpriced and over hyped a lot these days, there's better out there for less cash.

well having received my da the other day im gonna try it out tomorrow weather permitting , the car ill be trying it out on it a old astra work van , which is really faded ,, i were going to do the following
wash with meguairs gold class
clay with meguiars smooth surface clay kit
wash again
dry with a waffle drying towel
then use the Menzerna Compounding Pad with the, Menzerna Intensive Polish to start with and i think thats all ill have time for before it gets dark..
does this sound about right or should i use a different pad first /
any advice would be awesome

Always start with the least aggressive pad/polish combo first. Then move up the next pad if you need to, then next polish, then next pad, then next polish and so on.

at the moment ive only got 3 pads , compounding pad , polishing pad , finishing pad , am i right in saying there in order of mosts agressive , and ive got intensive polish and super finish polish .. so i should use the finishing pad with the super finish polish to start with,
aslo ive read that when youve got new pads its a good idea to spray some quick deatailer on them to soften them up a little bit , good tip or not worth it
