M3 vs S14?
Right i am looking at getting either a s14 again or a e36 m3. My mind is saying get the m3 at the moment.
It would be a track only car, and i know the sr20 lump in the s14 is pretty tuneable and there cheaper than m3's.
But i am tempted to get the m3.
What would people choose and why?

M3 3.2 with weight loss and decent coilovers like mine and 4 pot brembos off the 840 passes 911's on the 'Ring.
S14 blows and is only fit for maccy d drifitng..

M3 for comfort.
S14 for the Lulz
For track arguable on both accounts i could see the S14 being cheaper for parts?

You could build a 8 sec m3 for 5k,
I should imagine the s14 would cost double that for get the same times.

Yeah, the 3.0 are also very capable but need the group n oil restrictor and evo pick up/sump pan fitted before heavy track use tbh as they tend to starve them selves.

M3 Evo with straight pipes on track = WIN
Dont know what the DB limit would be though aha.
What do they weigh rougly when stripped? Mine would be just two buckets, average cage and polycarbs etc.

Depends how far you go, alloy doors/Grp panels/plastic windows etc etc
A stripped m3 with a good cage built into the turrets would be looking around 1250kg.
It's arguable that a 328 is a better track car as fully striped can be very low 1100's and with simple mods makes 220hp. Runs rings around most on track with a fraction of the running cost = much more days.

Coxy's car..!
Started off as a silver 325. He paid less than £500 for it but has put a lot of effort into it.
Not highly specced at all but is somewhere to start I suppose.

It's all a myth. My ring is fairly untouched by JDM fanboys!
