microfiber, a lot of pound shops do them now. I also use some "keep calm and keep scrubbing" bath gloves to apply wax and polish, just because

Cheap microfibres are shit and will end up adding swirls to your paintwork, they're fine for interior jobs though.

I don't use a cloth to apply the wax, I use an applicator pad.

Farecla G3 applicator pads on off in halfords, £3.99 for black and white applicators and also in the 3 for 2.
