Default is there a way to do a chip-tuning for a default ECU?
Is there a way for chip-tuning? For example, is it possible to resolder resistors, capacitors, transistors? if it's not, maybe you know some ECU-s that can be customized? Any related links would be appreciated.

Some ecus have a removable eprom that can be mapped. I know the 8v 1.6 Xsi does cos I took one apart th other day.

I think i'm right in saying that pretty much any ecu can be re-chipped.How you do it though is something I leave to the pro's.
