2x12' will be more than sufficient anyway mate.
You could always put them in proper boxes at a later date if you do feel you want a bit more, after all, the box affects the sound even more so than the sub itself!

really need advice quickly , its like 1cm to bid height wise , should be fine with parcel shelf a bit up would just be a bit tight , and depth as the seat are at an angle , thing is so is the sub , so reckon it would be ok , measurements are ;
saxo boot ;
1070mm wide
660 up to 510 mm depth
390 height
subs are ;
910(Width)
570(Depth)
410(H)mm
what do you guys think , should i risk it or just get the 12 " ones

why would you risk buying a smaller sub over the bigger one?
surely it would be ther other way round
that would be if im correct in assuming the measurements for sub are "width - 910mm" which would be a 10" sub.. so if thats not going to fit, how would a 12"?
correct me if im wrong, i havnt paid much attention to the thread recently
also, why keep bumping when your thread is allready at the top?

i said risk it OR just get the 12" meaning risk the 15"s fitting or just play it safe with the 12"s.
the 15" subs are 910 according to the site and since the boot is 1070 shouldnt be a problem there is the depth and height hat could be an issue. do you know if they would take returns if it didnt fit ?

if the width is 910mm, that is NOT a 15" sub, im confused by that tbh with you
which company are you buying them from? most take returns, check the website to be 100%

The 15's will fit mate! Just modify the parcel shelf slightly!
Its not like youve got "shit X 9's" in it or anything is it?

nope aint got no speakers in the parcel shelf , keep thinking about where the amp would go as well dont know if it would fit down the side ? , think it might cost bit more to sort out than the 12" which would avoid the hassle but then again its only £10 more for the 15 and if it didnt fit i suppose i could maybe send it back.

Im pretty sure it will fit mate.
If it doesnt then there are things you can do to make it fit.
Like make an mdf shelf that sits on top of the trim, rather than in the slots like te standard one does.
You could just leave the parcel shelf resting on the top of the sub box, or take it out all together??

yeah was thinking i could get a parcel shelf from a scrappys and have a go at cutting it or something and covering the top with some cloth. the real worrie as to why it would not fit is the depth as the back of the seats move in to the boot and little room for the amp to go. so bearing his in mind do you reckon get the 15"((preferd option tbh) and hope for the best or settle for 12"'s ?

Go for the 15's!
You can easily modify the parcel shelf! You could just buy one from the scrappy and experiment.

yeah height isnt a big issue as above with the parcel shelf it should be easily sorted , just the depth that could cause problems and dont know where i could put the amp, will it be a noticable difference over 12"'s if i where to get the 15"s ?
