theres quite a few guides within the stickies on the ice section mate

take a look through them

its pretty simple, the 1st time i did it, it took a couple of hours, but its nothing challening

its basically:

power cable - from amp to car battery
earth cable - from amp to part of the car (eg: seat bolt)
rca's - from amp to the back of the headunit
remote wire - from amp to the back of the headunit
speaker wire - from amp to the sub

wiring up component speakers isnt hard either:

-wire from amp to crossover
-wire from crossover to tweeter
-wire from crossover to woofer

that amp has 4 channels (2 bridged for sub & 2 for speakers)

again, diagrams within the stickies will show what to do and give pics etc

sounding easier..
so one cross over?
power from head unit to amp, then amp to cross over, then to woofer tweeter
basic question how dya fix the sub to the boot?

sub to boot = double sided sticky tape (strong stuff)

2 crossovers, 1 for each speaker

ie: left door = crossover, woofer & tweeter
right door = crossover, woofer and tweeter

Follow the sticky on here mate, its so easy to do, even for a first time. Hardest bit is making the hole in the rubber gromet between the passenger footwell and engine compartment. A lass I know got her Punto wired and it cost her £140, they charge serious money for not alot of work.

ANSWER... Get a 10" Alpine R Type from last years range, they sound amazing in a box which is approx .6 cubic feet! Bloody small and they drop well low... you wont be disappointed!
Or there are Kenwood 6x9 Subs but im pretty sure even though they have a built in amp that they are just 6x9's without the high end freq's... never heard them and would never buy them personally!

Or... buy a stealth shelf and get 1/2 free air subs, supposedly the new pioneer ones sound pretty good for free air...
