Group Buy section
Was browsing a golf forum and came across a section where all the Group Buy's are located.
I found that having a group buy section is a lot better as at the moment they are dotted around the site.
Just a suggestion as i have missed a few really good group buys in the past!

Any feedback on this?
Think it would make a lot of group buys work as people won't miss them.

I think this is a good idea, they have a similar setup on Detailing World, but iirc they require the company offering the discount to join so that they know it's legit and all...

I think it'd be a good idea, but only mods can move threads into it - as there are a lot of group buy feeler threads with some of them not going ahead.
I don't think everyone would be able to post a thread in it or you'll end up with a load of pointless 'group buy' feeler threads.

Yes what Raunchz said
It works really well on the golf forum and with the amount of group buys on here, it should work really well on here too

Agree with the above, could be a sub section of the for sale section.

Brilliant idea. Always hard to find them scattered all over the forum!

+1 i think its a great idea!
I know they often get put into the stickies sections, but they are easily missed in there, dedicated section for them would be great! (providing a thread could only be moved there once a mod had checked it over and had any amendments made )

I think it's a good idea too. If I (as an affiliate) place a group buy in my section, then guests/non members cannot read it which reduces exposure, so I have to put it in the engine/performance section clogging up the stickies. A group buy section is a great idea.
Kind regards
Andy

Guests and some newer non-members would not be able to see it in the for sale section either though?

i think this is also true as no one notices the stickies, the vtr buy has been there for ages and v few have noticed it, if it got dropped as a normal thread it may but the group buy section would be alot better

Really good ideas tbh, lots of times I have forgotten about group buys due to them disappearing on other pages

This has been suggested a few times over the time ive been on sax-p and its never been put into place, it should be though! I think its a great idea and think it would work, having done a group buy before and having people wanting in after it finished as they couldnt find it at the time is pretty crap!
