yooo,
easyyyy!
connect them together with an ethernet cable, or connect them both to the same switch/router/hub. Next go on your xbox and find media center, i cant remember but you need to get a number from the windows media center onthe xbox.
Once you get this code go on your computer on the windows media center, make sure the computer and xbox are connected some how, and then click media center extenders, enter the code, and once the xbox is found they will connect.
You can now stream video from your laptop onto your xbox so you can view it on a tele and still be able to use your laptop/computer screen for other "stuff".
hope this helps, if it doesnt pm me!

Quick tip, don't put your movies into the movies section as the navigation is shite.
Put all of your movies into the videos section and you get to choose how you navigate the files. It gives you an option to use folder view which is just like browing them on your pc, much better.
Oh and, windows media centre on Windows 7 is FAR superior to that on Vista. It has more features and supports way more codecs.

Streams everything from your PC. One of the best things about media center is that once you've added your extender (your xbox), providing your PC is on your xbox will be able to start windows media center without the need to touch your PC.
Most media streamers need you to start a service or run an application on the PC.
