Angry Toad alarm problems!!!

I have a toad alarm on my saxo, the moon shaped fob 1. recently when i pressed the button it wouldn't open the door. i lived with it for about a day, but then it came to a point when i was in the car and the doors "self lock", the indicators flash and the alarm activates. (although if i start the car it does not go off???)

Just now out side the house the alarm keeps setting off, the fob is useless and wont work although the light on the fob lights up.
The alarm only sets off though when i open the door or bonet....but the car will start when the alarm is going off!!!! ANY IDEAS??????

iv had so much trouble with this "problem car" in 8 months. although il giv it to it, with 113,000 on it the engine is sweet.

Sounds like a Toad Compact range
Will probably be the C2 C3 or C4
if you remove the loom from the rear of the alarm this will solve the alarm problem then send alarm to me and i will check it
But first check power supply to alarm could be a main power fuse for alarm
and what you are getting is it powering up via ignition feed thus the indicators flash on ign on position

Hi mate not completely sure on this one so only going to give ideas of whats causing it cos i wired in my own alarm and came across loads of problems. Your best PMing MR_TOAD on here, Type it in the member search he is here to help with alarm issues and many more sound guy aswell as he helped me with electric windows. Here is his profile:

http://www.saxperience.com/forum/member.php?u=14043

Basically i think its to do with the wire going to the ignition live weather its shorting there or their is a wire not wired to anything and that this wire should go to the ignition live. When i wired in my alarm i forgot to do this and i would leave the car and it would automatically set itself but i couldnt override it and it would go off itself. also emmbarising enough i was driving and 20 seconds later the alarm would set itself and go off streight away. Made people think i was nicking the car driving when driving down the road with them off so had to press the deactivation button before it went off again every 20 seconds! So i disconnected the power to it until i found a solution which turned out to be a wire needing to go to an ignition live. Basically in a nutshell what this does is when car is off alarm can be activated, but when the key goes in and turned on a signal comes from the alarm to see if it can be activated but if car is on or running it never sets the alarm off. Now in your instance if the car is not on the alarm is able to alarm and self lock. You might be able to do something the same as me or re-program it so that you can manually tell it what to do.

Know this is long winded and probs boring but hope it helps Good luck mate let me know if you fix it and what caused it
