Any one good at Guitar?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyfDL...Okfzw&index=12
I want to learn how to play
I've always been handy on the piano and I feel I have it in me to learn.
Anyone on here got the ability to play like that?
What's the best way to learn, one of my mates aunties offers lessons.
Seems an expensive hobby, Guitat + Lesson + AMP etc.

I've recently taken it up. Got a mint fender and amp off ebay for £92. I just learnt to read tabs and browse ultimate guitar, a few mates play to so they help me out also.

I found learning the basics helped me improve hugely, but stopped lessons after a while and just lost the motivation to play.
Would like to learn to play this.

And if you can play other instruments, so you have rhythm, learning yourself off tabs is the best way. I stopped lessons when I was 11ish..then taught myself from guitartab and by ear, always better that way...you can play how you want to that way too, rather than your tutors style

I can read music quite a bit, but after stopping lessons I've got the hang of reading tabs easier I used to always learn by watching my tutor play because reading music was impossible, so I'd learn by eyes and ears. Reading music on a sheet is hard to tell timing also compared to listening obviously

I've been playing years in punk bands, but lets face it punks easy to play lol, so now im starting to learn proper guitar, trying to teach myself by watching vids on youtube etc. people say lessons are a waste of money. But it would be nice someone telling you if your doing it right or not

'Tis actually the Koreans that are amazing.
As for the Canon vid, Mattrach does the best version of it, but JerryC deserves the most respect for starting it, then Funtwo for making it HUGE.
@LeeumH, Victor Wooten is where it's at, although Stu Hamm is amazinggggggggggggggggg.
Someone I used to go to school with said it was really hard to play both Piano and Guitar, can't remember why.

Tabs are simple... each line represents a string, each number represents the fret. Problem with tabs are that it doesn't give you timing.

Bit of Dragonforce ey Aly? He's good at shredding, I dare say that there are many better Asian guitarists out there that aren't famous like.
