jailbreak, the phone is a 100% better than without,
loads more apps, fully customiseable, free apps etc..
do some research first tho and learn what/why to jailbreak, it not for beginners but offers loads of benefits

Jailbreak.
Mines been done for months and not had a single problem.
If you do have a problem you can always restore the phone.

Had iphones for 3 years now always had them jailbroken, never had bother.
These days jailbreaking is a one click affair too, it would be rude not to!

There is a program on cydia that you can use to download torrents, why you would want to though is beyond me.
Especially since you cant actully listen to the music through the ipod as it obviously has to be synced with itunes. How ever you can probably listen on a standalone player from cydia.

I'd go for it and see how you get on with it, if you dont like it, just restore it. simple to do.

If you only want to jailbreak it for the TomTom app then don't bother, it's really not that good. I've got an app called Skobbler Lite, it's a free gps app and has the latest maps, no lag and is on the appstore to download for free.
