Default When will saxo owners be able to buy a DECENT DIFFUSER?!

You can get rear diffusers for pretty much any sports car but none that i've noticed for the saxo. All we have are the old 1999 rear bumper bodykits style krap things.

At Brands all kinds of cars had them especially the scoobies which as standard do not have them.

When will someone

A) Design and make a decent looking one for a saxo
B) Make one that does something say like a clio 200's does

Anyone else agree?? Would bring the rear end of a saxo bang up up date as well as imo thats the most dated part of the car.

Spoke to streamline carbon and they told me they had no interest in making one for a saxo either...

started out as a cut out rear bumper but will be tweaked further more. flat under belly is on the cards for me.

slighty goofy picture

They are the horrible one's i hate. Think they look gash and probably hurt aero more lol

I challenge any one or any company on here to make the best diffuser on the market for a saxo!

Almost...if he relocated the exhaust it might look good.
Wish a company would make one though...think of the interest it would get!
I'd estimate at least half the forum would get one if it was good/cheap enough

Anyone know any companies that might be up for a challenge?

Isn't the one on the Clio just for looks even says on the advert "f1 inspired"..

The problem is that a saxo is nowhere near low enough to the ground for this type of aerodynamic to efficiently work very well. And even if it was, without a flat ish floor it still wont work. The spare wheel area just acts as a parachute against the rear bumper. sealing this area would be tricky.
I think it will be left to style for a long time to come.

And i doubt the clio's one has any significant effect looking at the design and chord of it

in order to get it to work best i think the exhaust will need relocating. its all on the cards.

the only other picture i have is this

the fins are just what was left from the bumper support bar.

The exhaust is the least of your worries. stylistically yes. aerodynamically no

Most saxo's are lower than the clio mine definately is! Surely it would be easy to fix in place bolting to the underside of the car.

Sexy_gt's one looks like it could work as that parachute part has been cut out.

To get the aero to work underneath, you want the bottom of the car to be perfectly flat., that would be a start.
Cutting abit of the bumper out and sticking random bits of vertical board is going to FA.
Maybe if people looked up how a diffuser works it, it may show that it would be almost impossible to get an effective, noticable diffuser built and work.

At least somebody is on my side. And the design and application of a flat floor would be rather tricky
