Default Budget servicing

Alright so i need to service my car and like every one else im on a budget. I know as for oil you get what you paid for. So i was wondering if any one could tell me what products i should use and not that expensive. Would be great if you could provide links etc too.

The car is a 1.1 forte 2001 3 plug ecu.

Oil get anything within the correct specs. If you still need it, I can get a trade price for a kit and clutch if needed? Sorry it's been one hell of a busy weekend.

Ps wrong section

To be fair, i went and bought things on friday, Including antifreeze so i can bleed the cooling system.. £35 for oil, antifreeze, oil filter, fuel filter, and thermostat.. Got plugs to buy still.. But £35 is nothing, for 10k or so of driving..

Where did you get all that from mate? Any chance you can send me a link? How much are plugs? Recently had a new radiator so don't need coolant or anti freeze

check a website called eurocarparts out. They are cheap and they always have some kind of money off offer going.

Euro car parts are pretty good if you use service25 as a promo code you will get 25% off also try a gp clutches in rochdale for a clutch. He sells remanufactured clutches and posts out last one I got was 40 quid for full kit including new bearing etc.

Ok I've got a list of of products for my service, can you let me k ow if I'm going wrong with any of these products?

Tripple QX fully synthetic 5w40 oil - 5 litres
Beru spark plugs
Guttmann oil filters
Stp oil flush

All this came to £27.46. To me this sounds really cheap as I know people pay about £100 for a garage to do it.

Remember a service isnt just changing them parts! About 2/3 of servicing time is all the other stuff.

Yeh add the gear oil to that list if it hasn't been done for a while and you're good to go, just check other stuff like brakes and bushes etc while you're at it

Should really be doing stuff like greasing all hinges etc, a full check of the car, as in what would be done in an mot, is it due a brake fluid renewal? If so that needs to be done.
