Couple of bits turned up today, not at work today so have them fitted already.
TR Lane Harness Bar & Driftworks 3" Harness.
Harness bar has noticeably stiffened up the cabin and the car feels more composed, and also it's a harness bar! So the harness is mounted properly lol.

Couple of pictures.
Fitted bonnet pins and removed the standard catch etc.
Still waiting for my wheels to turn up unfortunately.

They're 8j et10 with a 5mm spacer.
Put shorter springs in the coilovers also and wound them down a bit more. Quite bumpy though.

Just read from first page looking good now hopefully ill be getting one of these soon ideally I would want Lsd but seem pretty rare, might weld the diff but it would be a daily, and I heard the 1.6 is the better engine to go for the 115bhp model over the 1.8 ?

The LSD's aren't too rare, this had one and few of my mates have had them. They're pretty shit tbh the standard ones get too hot after a while and just turn in to an open diff lol.
Depends what you want it for, if it's a daily that you'll be skidding regularly you could always fork out for a proper Kaaz 2-way diff, but if you just plan on doing some roundabouts in the wet or something rather than on track then just stick with a good condition standard LSD.
Welders aren't hard to live with though, whack the rear tyre pressures up and the skipping isn't as violent. I run 60psi in the rears for road driving lol.
I haven't driven a 1.8 so i'd only be repeating what others have said, but yeah apparently the 115bhp 1.6 engines are just a more exciting engine, revier etc..
Just don't buy a 90bhp one.

The more I look at these the more I want one, they look like fun, would probably only do a bit if messing around in empty roads/round abouts etc.

Yeah im swaying towards the mk2 atm decent mk1 seem to be hard to come by and for some reason insurace is epicly cheaper on a mk2 and are the 110bhp mk2 and 115bhp mk1 the same engine.
