Also why get a new door ???
that dent looks like it will push out , better have some scuff marks on an evenly coloured door than a perfect different coloured door !!!on your track car too!!

A panel beater should be able to sort it for less than a new door and spraying. You could push the worse out yourself.

The question is have you tried it?
Just take the doorcard off , wind the window up , take the protective film off roughly where the dent is and apply pressure to see if it pops out.
Obviously it will leave some creases , but i guess a blue or yellow door would look worse on it. Should have been more thoughtfull to start off with!!!

Saxo owners have it lucky!
Removing lights means removing lights
For 106 owners removing lights means removing bumper.
Took about an hour and a half in total working it all out but could do it in 10 mins now I know.
Once again another bodge job found as the washer bottle isn't attached properly and while I was there I noticed one if the carbon cannister pipes is leaking and also poss a driveshaft from the rubbery bit. Headlight wiring was a mess too
May sound funny but im quite proud of the work so far. Has cost nothing and I've never even worked on a car before period!

The bit right in the middle? Not sure will have to have a look when im home. I did notice the ns panel on the inside had red paint on it which was a bit weird so wouldn't shock me if its had a knock to be honest. Will have to investigate properly.
One thing that is odd is the floor basically underneath where your ass would sit on both sides is dentednupwards a bit I just assumed as the car is stupidly low they had hit something underneath.

Bit of downtime so thought I'd write a to do list.
Remove dash and try and tidy wiring and rid of sound deadening
Sand down primer and spray arches (or just hammerite?)
Sand down and spray under the car up to rear beam.
Clean up inside of car
Custom doorcards
Fix carbon cannister pipe
Investigate any leaks
Move ecu into car (how?)
Replace gear linkages
New fluids and filters change
Brakes all round
All new suspension and rear beam
Bucket seats and harness
Possibly new wheels
Semi slicks
Roll cage
Road test!

I believe its called a CAT W
Previously owned by a female
If you are talking about the bent looking bit above the radiator almost at the centre then all 106's have that from looking at pics.

I do have one flat o/s front tyre that might make it look that way?
Just went out and had a look and seems fine.
This is the panel I was on about
The passenger door also catches a bit

Better put the flat tyre on the list and why don't you invest in a Haynes manual dude and have a good luck at it before you do work on the car they are very useful and you would have known about having to remove the bumper.

Yeah might be a good idea. Are they GTI specific?
Semi slicks are in the list
I literally have done nothing to a car ever before this so when people call things by their name don't be surprised if I have no idea what it is or what it does!

Looks like that bit is uniformly curved-doesn't look bent at all.
Another pic

Not too much done this weekend.
Did a bit of hand sanding on the interior rear arches then realised I had a proper one in the shed....fail.
Hopefully by next weekend I'll have had a chance to get down the scrappy and source some standard rear lights and headlights and a glovebox clip thing.
Then onto halfords for the rear arches and boot.
Top of my head I'll need some filler for a couple of tiny holes, a wire brush, some acid etch primer and some coloured paint perhaps white?
Boring times....roll on the new job so I can buy the good stuff!

Filler for holes is a bad plan
Weld them up
