What bulb is it for auto gear selecto illumination mk1 1999

Hey

Got small bulb out to replace for the gear selection illumination and think its just capless wedge push in one.

But whats does t5 and 286 refer to in bulbs?

This is capless approx 1cm bulb with 8mm stem flattened with element wires attached to connect current in socket.

Do the plastic encased bulbs do the same job ie these

Oh forgot fyi small illuminus orange piece of plastic fell out when taking bulb out of gearshift casing. Possible indicator flag inside???
