Default Fitting new wheels to 1.1 saxo

Picked up some 106 gti raptor wheels for my 1.1 the other day

The standard 1.1 tyre is 165/65 r14
The raptors have 185/55 r14

I presume my speedo reading will be wrong and I need 185/65 r14 tyres?

Nope, the overall rolling radius / diameter is the same.

the 65 / 55 is a percentage of the width.

The rule is for every for every extra 10mm width, you go down 5% in profile.

And also if you change the wheel size every inch is another 5% *(which you didn't)

You may need different bolts for the alloy wheels, the steel ones are different and can damage the rim.
