RPM sensor
I wanna change the cluch becouse she has 240 000+ km. In my mind is turbo project but first is clutch. Engine is diesel so it is 180mm. I wanna put 200mm from vts. Changing flywheel to vts and then i have problem. RPM sensor. It will show diferent. Any idea for that problem?

think it will be the same --just check where the cut out is --missing teeth is the same on both when you line up the dowels holes on centre of flywheel
not sure the rpm snesor --which is actually a tdc sensor is of nay importance on a disel --think its just for using timing tool

No I'm not on crack... 180mm can take about 0,8bar and after that just smoke... Vts clutch is much better... Stronger and price is better then some performance diesel clutch...

On the later diesels they use a needle lift sensor, the crank sensor and a potentiometer on the throttle arm to adjust timing

Is it a semi electric pump? Early ones were all mechanical so the crank sensor only ran the tacho (same as my xantia)
My 206 has electronic advance and an egr valve so the crank sensor is used for timing aswell, if i unplug it or use the wrong flywheel it won't run right at all

It will be semi electronic then. In which case the car won't read the rpm right on the new flywheel as there are more teeth on the larger flywheel. Im not 100% if the connectors are the same between engines either.
The only reason i ask is due to a few people fitting older flywheels to dw8 engines and the engine won't run right at all
