This is true although I have to question your judgement when there are 13 likes and only one dislike (that happened after I posted to this forum)

For some general feedback not related to the actual video, I was suprised by the comparative pace of the merc. Enough to make me check the specs, it's only 190bhp and it weighs 1680kg?
Is it the E220d?

Yes! I was also shocked to be honest considering the Polo is so much lighter and most GTI's tend to put out even more than book figures.
It's also partly down to my lack of confidence in Luca's driving. I know my driving and I'm pretty experienced. No accidents in all my time driving whereas he is a new driver and I don't want to push him into something silly.
Also the conditions favoured rwd with the drag races and his auto box means in the sport modes it's always bang on to shift.
Not to take anything away from the car. Its an expensive bit of kit but it's definately not the slow diesel I thought it was! In second and third it's basically even it's only in the higher gears do I start becoming noticeably faster.

It does have a lot of torque though I must mention.

Every now and then I come on to this forum to see if any of the old lot are still posting, unfortunately it's only a couple.
I was overjoyed to see a thread started by none other than Hardcockgingerlad and was even more thrilled when it was about his new video blog.
Imagine my sheer elation when it turned out to be the biggest pile of wank I've ever watched on youtube.
Keep it up lad.

Is that a wind up?
The cars been off to insurance for a repair that would have cost less than your excess in all likelihood, if it had had a smart repair and 2 parking sensors lashed in.
Meanwhile because it's taken 10 weeks you've had an E class to knock around in, at a no doubt horrific cost to the insurance company, and now you're hoping to claim back the cost of a cambelt change and full service because you feel it's running a "bit lumpy and knocky" and this is likely because it's been stood for the same amount of time so people leave their cars in airport parking to go on a cruise?
Amazing.

Well I did tell Luca to just not claim on the insurance and just get a second hand bumper off ebay but as far as I can understand it he had to claim on the insurance because the black box showed he had an incident.
The rest is purely down to the insurance and not him. He never asked for the Merc and he certainly didn't ask for his car to be sat outside in the freezing cold and being covered in bird poo when he picked it up!
He will only look at recovering costs IF it's because it's been sat there for that time (no fault of his) or because they have damaged it in some way (was perfect before it went in to the accident repair garage.
Hopefully that paints a better picture than how you portrayed the events. Not getting into an argument about it as im sure what I have just said has cleared it up nicely.

Cool. It's free and no one is forcing you to watch it.

Can we get this thread deleted. It's kind of pointless.

Music was too loud over the dialogue in some parts (and the engine, can't hear anything of what's been said). Now the guy's complaining it's doing 33mpg because it's been sat there for 10 weeks. I says take it for a run, sounds like he doing short trips only, then he kind of implies the car is due for a service anyway and that he's going to try to claim a cambelt off of the insurance, err lol. Saying that he usually only puts 20 a week in it doesn't give any indication of anything. Most likely going wrong because it's an alfa.
Not sure why it takes 10 weeks to fit two sensors and fix a scratch, but then he had a merc during all that time.

I though there was a black box in there.

I love how this thread went from "please like and share my video" to "please delete this thread, it's pointless" in less than 5 posts.
Like did you expect The fucking Guardian to pick up the story and make a front page scandal about how it took longer than expected to fix an Alfa and the fact it sounded it bit lumpy on return? Get real.
How you ever got more than 5 views on any of your videos is absolutely beyond me.
