In a nutshell, there's little go below 3k. As soon as you go past 3k, the power comes in nice and smooth to about 6500rpm. After 6500rpm, it goes pretty mental. The car generally pulls very hard between 4000 and 6500rpm. It's just that point where you hit 6500rpm it becomes pretty mad.
I'm definitely looking forward to getting back on the rollers with the longer trumpets, and a working 4th injector! Should see some good results, specially as the engine is bedded in now.

Sounds awesome!! I think i'll go for some PH4's as they are slightly wilder than the 734's so hopefully will get a tinkle more grunt for my £££££.
What limiter are you running? 8k?
It's funny as I had a leaky injector too, causing one cylinder to run mega rich - got a set of injectors re-conditioned and just waiting on fitting them now. I keep blaming it on the cold.

You're welcome to try for yourself. Might be a good idea before you buy...
Yeah, soft cut at 8000rpm, hard cut at 8100rpm. Pug1Off hooked up my engine management light as a shift light. Lol.
Hopefully should see some gains. Made just over 185bhp at Northampton Motorsport with a dodgy injector...
Sadly I'm broke as a joke at the moment. Progress will be really slow from now onwards.

Yeh, that'd be awesome - when the weather's better I might take a little trip over for a gander !!!
I'm in the same boat regarding the money situation - insurance due soon and just forked out for a diff. Hopefully time will heal the wounds though !! then I can get this engine built, fitted and mapped !
thanks for the advice on the cams !!

Josh, I'm going to do everything at once. Injectors cleaned, longer trumpets fitted, mapping etc... I'm still waiting for AT Power to send me the darn trumpets. It's been over 2 months!

Good news you sorted that injector Toad - at least it's nowt more worrying - I feel your panic mate, especially with mine!
So your peak power is around 7k then? Mine makes peak power at 8600k and revs to 9k! Gonna be shite in low revs, but hopefully the gearbox will take care of that, i'll just need to keep it on the boil by driving it like a total CANT!
LMAO at the 'cock sock' too!

I think peak power was recorded at 7600rpm. It holds the same 185bhp to 8000rpm. It drives fine in low revs, just no go below 3k that's all. Smooth as you like.

Yeah, taking the piss aren't they!
No, I wiped the last remaining bits of snow off it yesterday and took it out for a spin. I gave it a wash too. Man it was dirty. I'm not happy about the wheels. There's so much shit which won't come off...
It had sat unused for over 2 weeks. Started up perfectly. Result.

Just a quick update.
I went to Pug1Off yesterday as I had the day off work. We checked the cylinders, this time with a warm engine, and each cylinder had between 250 and 255 psi. So an excellent amount of compression as well as consistancy. Interestingly, when we pulled the plugs out, the far right plug which was black due to the dodgy injector, was now looking absolutely healthy. Somehow, the injector seems to have cured itself. Weird...
Next thing on the cards is to try and get the car closer to track-ready. I need the oil cooler fitted, and Matt suggested the best thing to do is to remove the stock fan setup, and install a lightweight fan, which due its size and the removal of the stock setup, a much better airflow will be created. The fan is £70 and he's offered to do all the work, inculding the oil cooler install for just 2 hours labour. Pretty good I reckon. I've had an invite from them to go to the Ring with them around May time, but I don't think I'll be able to make it.

I didn't notice the name, sorry. He said they used to get ones from Demon Tweaks, but they were around £110. He said they get theirs now from Silverstone - It's just round the corner from Pug1Off.

Nice stuff Toad.
Good to hear things are coming together.
I think that place near Silverstone is called Merlin Motorsport, if you want to check the prices for yourself.
