yea iv already had this done twice now aha its still making it pull to the left.
what happens is the passenger side rear wheel step out left if i brake hard at 50 - 60mph its so scary.

Those windows are the best quality ones I've seen yet. The thing that was putting me off getting them for my car was the rear screen for the saxo looks like a flat piece of plastic!

They do look the dogs on your motor though. Nice work

Do you have any issues with them scratching when you're cleaning them?

Just had another look at them. The sliders are soo cool lol! Im actually LMAO
at them. Think I need sleep.

Anyhoo. Still think there the nuts. must be huge weight loss. You just need
some of Bics carbon fibre doors now!
Hmm, well I will wait and see what the new panel looks like just generally.
It cant be too rough of a job though Toadus. You'll ruin it.

Thanks Boz. I had help with the windows, I won't lie! hehe. I got the tailgate and rears windows fitted by Steve Hill Motorsport, but I think they just called up one of these windscreen places like Autoglass to come and fit them, lol. They put the black edges on for me which hides a lot of things. I did the fronts myself. The fronts weren't too difficult, I just fitted them into the original holding postions, put sealant along the top of the windows and them showed them up, hard! I then went around the edges with more sealant, and just used my finger to keep it neat.

Lee, so are you saying you have taken your car to two RRs? Did they both say that the braking was fine? This really does sound just like the problem I have. Basically, braking light is fine, it's when you brake hard the problems occur. Braking hard from the likes of 30 - 50mph, the cars seems skittish, and pulls side to side. Braking from 70+ mph, it just pulls left, and HARD left! I don't know what to suggest mate.

Saxo180, thanks very much for the comments. You're not wrong about the scratching. When you wipe them with any cloth, it seems to scratch them, but it's not like a deep scratch, it's tiny, almost like they're not quite clean. I only noticed this the first time I cleaned them on the inside, now, it doesn't seem to make them any worse. Obviously they're not that practcal, but they're not that hard to deal with to be fair.

Rush, you little toe rag! Stop LOL at my windows, ahah!

Entire doors made out of CF might be a little above my budget matey! But they sound excellent. Hopefully the panel won't look too bad dude, it's just simply going to plonk over the hole. I've spent a long time prep'n it today, so I'm trying my best. Here's a couple of pics of the finished piece:

As you can see, it's really thin on the edges, so it should sit very flush. I'm going to use some mastic sealant to stick it on with.

Mervin made it for me for a nifty. It's made from fibreglass. I think he did 4 layers, but i'm not really sure what that means, lol.

Haha, read the post above yours!

I've got Mervin's contact details if you're definately interested. He's a nice, genuine chap, and could really do with the work! He worked for the Williams F1 team for a number of year, producing carbon fibre parts and that, so you know his work is second to none!

I dont know how much Nifty is! Nifty as in £90 lol? You Londoners! See my
roof is really doing my nut in at the moment. You know where the interior light
is and the sunroof winder.

Its strated to vibrate and rattle. Really annoying. Dont want to remove it until
the sunroof is gone.

That would be an ideal replacement for now... But I just dont wana spend no more!

LMFAO! You northeners. Shocking... A nifty if 50. 90??? LMAO still!

It's not going to damage the sky rocket that much is it? With a little bit of tweaking, it'll look proper 'ansome! Enough of the lingo, soz mate. haha.

I get the same vibrating noise, so that's one bonus. There's plenty others too!!! The leaking for starters! I'm sick of my alarm going off when it's raining heavy, and I'm sick of water droping on my lap when going round corners! And finally, there's the weight reduction. I think the sunroof weighs in a nearly 18 kgs!!! So getting that bad boy out will be excellent for weight reduction, and it's also the position that the weight is coming out from that is so beneficial. Weight high up is not what you want at all!

See thats why I like you, you think like me! I dont want a carbon boot at
all as the rear is light enough all ready. I was looking at ways to reduce the
weight more in the centre and up front. A carbon bonnet, bumper and wings
would be soo damn good! But again these are all future investments.

Not even going to bother now, imagine the bill!

Northerner aye? Im a Midlander man! Brummy! "Yum tekkin the piss now aint ya
Mr Toadus" lol.

I know what your saying, £50 is nought but that on top of the rolling road thing
plus all the other bits I need to get done too. Its still cash I kinda do and dont
have.

I want to get the belt done and new driveshafts before our trip to the Ring
too! More money money money :O

I'm not sure I understand your first paragraph above man? Take a look at what you wrote....

I'm sure you can squeeze £50 from somewhere... What belt are you refering to? The cambelt? Why do you need new driveshafts?

May make a bit more sense now lol. I could easily get the £££ for it, but then
if I saved for a bit longer I could get the complete carbon roof!
So its like just dont think about it at all.

Cambelt should be done soon, nearly hitting 50000 miles. Driveshafts are fine
for now but I just dont want them fucking up on the way to Germany. Rather
get them done at 50000miles then its good for another 6 years and more.

*awaits Toads rant about driveshafts*

Guys (Toad, lee etc) i may have a solution to your weird braking / rear end soon,

A friend of mine has the same problem, were soon going to be taking his beam apart and checking it all over to see if there's any obvious sign's of wear etc,

We will have to wait for a few weeks untill he's fitted it and driven his car again obviously but i'm hoping i will find something and be able to sort yours out as well

LOL Jeeves, sounds like you want everything!
Thanks for the comments.

JP, what makes you think the braking issue is related to the rear axle? I'm fairly sure mine's pretty much tip top timmy now!

A wee update... Change of directions slightly with the sunroof. At the risk of it looking a little tacky with the white sheet on top of the car, I've decided against it. If I'm going to be fitting a white bonnet too, and even white mud flaps, I think it would look a little bit pony.

So the solution is? Well... I've got a friend who owns a bodyshop / repair garage. He's willing to help me out with stuff so I think I'm going to tap this little resource now. I was already planning for the bonnet to go to him to get it all nice and sweet, but I'm thinking I might ask him to do a little extra while he's at it. The plan is to get the panel fitted over the hole as planned, but i'm going to get him to fill it in, so it's all smooth, and then do a re-spray over the entire roof, so the panel pretty much disappears. I think this will look ten times better. What do you chaps think? Obviouslt the re-spray will be matching the metallic silver!!! LOL

How do you know this? did you strip yours right down then?

My mate has come to the conclusion its something to do with his beam hence the weird braking, he's changed EVERYTHING else literally so this is pretty much the last option i guess

you all have the same symtons so im hopful of finding the solution once i've stripped his beam all down and had a good look over everything
