Came on yesterday, as a guest and was suprised to see I could still access the for sale section..
Maybe if we had that as private, like the meet section is to them, then it may stop people signing up and trying to rip people off?

but having it open to guests also makes it viewable to people who are interested but not currently members. you would loose out on potential interest if you are selling.

its fairly obvious when someone is scamming tbh.
if ur selling items (which you need 50 posts anyway) ur the one getting the cash/paypal etc.. so if a freeloader buys something off of you then you simply dont sned anything till money has arrived.

then you are safe and you also keep the interest there
