What's your tow car?
What car do you folks use for towing your track/race car to events?
I currently use a 330d auto estate but have bought a 2.5tdi vw caravelle which ticks more boxes.

At first..I was considering using my 1.1 Saxo..too tow the Clio.
But after realising however cool it may look, it was stupid.
I get temp cover on my mums Discovery when needs be.

330d's are rapid. must have been hard to remember you had a trailer on the back at times with that much torque

how do you find the beemer? I was thinking about a 330 sport as a tow car. I used to love using a 3 litre Omega. I think petrol is better except for fuel consumption

The 330d is an awesome tow car, my one made 380lb ft torque so towing my 1100kg trailer & car is effortless and I regularly beat cars off the lights with the car/trailer attached.
If you do get one go for the auto box, it's so much better for towing.

I use an Alfa 156 2.4JTD. The best way to own an alfa is when towing a spare car behind when it breaks. I jest, its great for towing, reliable and comfortable but the clutch has just started slipping
