Default Any common front suspension wear items?

Just wondered if there is any points of the suspension or steering on Saxos that commonly wear/need changing?

My 2000 VTR doesn't feel to 'tight' on the front end. Almost a loose/clunky feel over bumps and rough surfaces etc. Its just past its MOT and had no advisories with regards to frontal suspension components. My work colleague did say he could detect some slight play on offside front wheel up and down and said possibly it's the wheel bearing? But I couldn't detect anything myself the other day when I looked - however when I checked I had just fitted a new driveshaft.
