How did you wrap the roof? Just asking as i have a roll of the stuff that i was going to use on the 106 to replace the scruffy krap on the doors but can't get the standard stuff off so tempted to use it on the roof instead.

joe ive done several roofs, you need a partner to help, fit them dry, very difficult job to get it 100%
if you have a sunroof remove it and the ariel first!
if in doubt do not do it, the wrap will pull your old paint off if you are unlucky and decide to fail.

Do you live in Bottesford? or spend a lot of time there. Seen a silver sax with your sunstrip around a fair few times...

I suppose not for these engines, but say for example with a gti6 engine - would you run it a bit richer at higher rpms/loads, knowing that when the cars moving on the road and has airflow forced against the front of the car that the afr will lean up a tad? I've never seen mapping/afr's under a dyno then road situation, but can imagine the VE map ends up a bit of a balance of dyno performance/afr against afr on the road whilst driving?
PS no need to do anything to that silver Vts as it's perfect in oem form!
|
Not if the engine has been calibrated correctly as the fuelling function frame (alogrithm) will have trim for both air temperature and pressure. This is why a final trim on the road is often performed once the base map has been set on the dyno. This is also another reason why true engine calibrations take OEM's years to perfect.

Citreon sport I don't think they will be able to tweak standard ecu again a down side to mapping standard ecu.
You are limited to who does the work.
Do you know what they timed it to? I.e. How much advance or retard the inlet and exhaust cams?

yes, shame about the black one only being 151bhp & 125torques.
been out for a blast in it today, first proper abusive drive since having the cams tweaked. feels good. not quick enough by a mile but yeah good. shame yellow stuff pads need warming up. cant keep them hot on the road.
r1r tyres are decent too! 1st time ive used them (again properly)
