YouTube embeded Plugin
F.A.O Simo.
The SMB (Sunderland Message Board) use it;
Here is an example of what I mean, I don't think you need to register:

I think it would be a grreat idea but only allow it for the Website links and Music section.

Yeah, seems a good idea, that way people can see a thumbnail instead of clickin on the posted link... saves wasting time if the video is crap

I thought the reason pele avoided embedding YouTube videos was a security risk? Correct me if im wrong, but thats also the reason that HTML embedding is mostly disabled on forums?

vBulletin is very very secure mate,
The SMB is one of the most popular vBulletin sites I know and it's never been hacked or taken down.
Have a look on it at just how many people use it.
pHp Nuke is easily hackable as I found out when someone took down my forum I had.

Wouldn't be any embedded code provided by the user.
It would be like [YOUTUBE ID=123456 /] then the forum would create html to display the video providing the id as a parameter.
I say it's a good idea, Probably a little more secure that having random links in posts.
